Tips to Beat the Summer Heat

It’s a heatwave! Don’t forget to check on those who are most at risk: seniors, children, and pets!! Check out the Reader’s Digest article on how to fight the heat. Here are a few of the suggestions:
1. Drink lots of water to hydrate hours before exercising or going out in the heat
2. Workout early or late in the day
3. Stay cool with ice-cold towels, bottle top sprayers, or cooling body gel
4. Eat cooling foods like watermelon
5. Wear loose-fitting clothing that is white or light-colored
