Happy Cinco de Mayo 2021!! Hope your Cinco de Mayo is as much fun as a piñata full of goodies!
Did you know that Cinco de Mayo is often mistaken for Mexico’s Independence Day? How about that it is celebrated more in America than in Mexico?
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican military victory over the French forces of Napoleon III on May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla. Mexican-American activists raised awareness for it in the United States in the 1960s. The day represents pride for Mexican culture and heritage.
